The R.O. Pickard Environmental Centre rehabilitation and expansion project involved upgrading the plant from a primary plant to a full secondary treatment facility to handle an average daily flow of 545,000 m³ /d. R.V. Anderson Associates Limited (RVA) was responsible for the complete engineering services for the following components:
- sixteen (16) secondary clarifiers
- effluent water and disinfection facility
- yard piping and services
- rehabilitation of the chlorine contact chamber
- design of the new outfall pipe
- operator training
- commissioning and technical support.
project status:
The overall project was completed within the required schedule and at a cost of $365 million, $35 million below budget. RVA's total work value was approximately $38 million. |
