R.V. Anderson Associates Limited undertook the preliminary engineering, stomwater management, detailed design, approvals, contract administration and site inspection for this 353 lot subdivision in two phases, located in the Town of East Gwillimbury.
Engineering features of this project included stormwater quality and quantity ponds, infiltration pits, protection of a Class I wetland, crossing of a cold water fishery with services and a bridge, a sanitary forcemain, reinforced earth, 550,000 cubic metres of earthmoving and engineered fill, and external roadways and services.
A master servicing and stormwater management plan was prepared to obtain draft plan approval for future phases of development totaling approximately 1,200 lots.

This fast-tracked $4,500,000 construction project (Phase 1) was completed in 10 months from commencement of design to completion of base asphalt. Floodplain management techniques were practiced to maximize development areas and to permit roadway crossings of the Vivian Creek. Sewage allocations were successfully negotiated for this project. |
