R.V. Anderson Associates Limited (RVA) provided design and inspection services for the reconstruction of Spadina Avenue from Lakeshore Boulevard to Front Street, including a bridge structure over the CN Rail Corridor. Work included the design of a six-lane urban roadway with Light Rail Transit (LRT) trackage in the median; design of a 93-metre, 4-span structure over the railway corridor; removal of the old roadway structure over the tracks and a rail structure crossing the roadway near Lakeshore Boulevard, complete new underground services; two underground mezzanines for future use as LRT stations to the SkyDome and the Railway Lands; street lighting, full landscaping and traffic signal installations. Construction staging was developed to maintain four lanes of traffic at all times.
