R.V. Anderson Associates performed the predesign, design and contract administration for the installation of the standby power facility at the Port Dalhousie Water Pollution Control Plant. Services also included the preparation of preselection documents for the purchase of the 725 kW diesel engine generator unit. The facility supplies emergency power to the majority of the plant process equipment during periods of extended Hydro failure. The generator building materials were carefully selected for their sound attenuating properties to keep noise emissions within Ministry guidelines. The exterior fascia of the building was selected to complement the adjacent Plant structures.
