Greater Moncton Sewerage Treatment

The Greater Moncton Sewerage Commission's approach to Biosolids handling were recognized and praised at the 2003 International Wastewater Association Conference, held in Norway. R.V. Anderson Associates Limited and its New Brunswick division, Touchie Engineering, were part of a team of independent consultants hired to develop and administer a Long Term Sustainable Wastewater Management Strategy for the commission, which included review and strategy development for the Commission's solids handling and biosolids use policies, along with available technologies.
The Commission has gained international recognition for the strategy, which relies heavily on reuse and recycling, and is praised as an economically sound and environmentally protective approach to biosolids handling and disposal.
