RVA participates in Canstruction® 2008
On November 10th, 2008, RVA’s team gathered at the Toronto Dominion Centre in downtown Toronto - along with 25 other consulting firms - to build the firm’s entry for the 10th annual Canstruction® Toronto design-build competition.
RVA’s entry - “A Can to Give, A Hand to Live” - depicts a hand in action contributing a food can to help end hunger. The structure is approximately 10’ x 10’ wide and 7’ tall, and took six hours and 4050 cans to build.
Canstruction® is a Design and Construction Industry competition currently held in cities throughout North America. Teams of architects and engineers use their creativity and skill to design and build giant structures made from canned and packaged food.
The Toronto competition entries were on display at the Toronto Dominion Centre from November 11th - 15th, and all food goes to benefit the Daily Bread Food Bank in Toronto.
RVA team members who participated in the November 10th build:
- John Slade
- Rina Kurian
