Toronto, ON (January 10, 2011) – On January 1, 2011, R.V. Anderson Associates Limited commenced operations in St. John's, Newfoundland & Labrador, as Kavanagh Associates, a division of R.V. Anderson Associates Limited.

This new division reflects the merger of Kavanagh & Associates Limited with R.V. Anderson Associates.

Incorporated in 1991, Kavanagh & Associates Limited has been operating as a privately owned consulting engineering firm. Since its inception, Kavanagh has provided professional engineering services for the design and construction of a wide range of infrastructure projects for municipal services, residential and commercial land development, and technical studies.

R.V. Anderson Associates has been engaged in the provision of professional engineering, operations, and management services since 1948. The organization comprises over 200 environmental and infrastructure specialists for water, wastewater, transportation, and urban development. The company is wholly owned by its principals and associates, providing services to public and private sectors in Canada and internationally.

The St. John's office complements R.V. Anderson Associates' existing business network in Toronto, Ottawa, Sudbury, Niagara, London, Moncton, Fredericton and Mumbai, India.

The new division and existing staff team will continue to be led by Mr. Sean Kavanagh, in his role as R.V. Anderson Associates’ Newfoundland & Labrador Regional Manager.
