The St. John’s Sideroad / McKenzie Wetland project for York Region and the Town of Aurora was the recipient of the 2006 Ontario Public Works Association (OPWA) Project of the Year Award, in the Environment Category Greater than $10 Million, and the American Public Works Association’s 2007 Transportation Project of the Year ($10 - $100 Million).

In addition to recognizing the efforts of York Region and the Town of Aurora, this award also recognizes the contributions of RVA’s design team to the success of the project.

The Ontario Public Works Association Project of the Year Awards were established to promote excellence in the management and administration of public work projects by recognizing the alliance between the managing agency, the consultant / architect / engineer, and the contractor(s), who working together, complete public works projects.
