Contract Administrators - Municipal/Water (GTA)

R.V. Anderson Associates Limited is an employee-owned, multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm established in 1948.  The firm specializes in infrastructure and the environment, with 200 staff in eight offices located throughout Ontario, New Brunswick, and Mumbai, India.  The company was selected as one of Canada’s 50 best managed companies in 2009.

We are looking for talented and experienced Contract Administrators to join our team.  The successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing several projects at once. 

The company was recently awarded major projects from the City of Toronto and GO Transit which has resulted in the need for additional help.  These projects will commence this Spring.

Our ideal candidate will have experience with both municipal and transportation projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Report directly to Project Managers and be responsible for:

o        Interpretation of contract documents and drawings

o        Communicate with Project Site Inspectors

o        Set up and facilitate project meetings

o        Prepare meeting  notes and project memorandums

o        Review and process contract extra work claims

o        Prepare and process monthly progress estimates

o        Liaise with clients as required

o        Prepare and maintain project schedules

Qualifications & Experience:

• University degree or 3 year college diploma in Civil Engineering; or equivalent
• Membership in PEO/OACETT is an asset
• Minimum 3 years experience in Municipal, Infrastructure and/or Transportation projects in a Contract Administrator role
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite
