CADD Technician (Ottawa)

Job Description:

• Prepare design drawings for municipal infrastructure projects (e.g. water mains, sewers, roads) and check for accuracy
• Oversee the production of CAD drawings by other Technologists to ensure consistent and high level of drawing output
• Assist with pre-engineering site surveys
• Design of roads, sewers, watermains, forcemains and grading for site plan and subdivision developments and municipal infrastructure projects
• Collection of field data
• Help with contract documents and engineering reports
• Provide office support during the construction stage of projects

Qualifications:

• Fully conversant with Autocad
• 5-8 years experience in a Municipal Engineering environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional communication skills
• Ability to work in an interactive team atmosphere
• Knowledge of Microstation is an asset
• Construction inspection and or survey experience is beneficial
