We are
looking for a recent graduate who has a passion for municipal engineering
that includes water and wastewater projects!
This is a permanent full-time
position which will commence in Spring 2010.
Job
Description:
Reporting to the Branch Manager in our Niagara office, located in St.
Catharines you will provide assistance / support to senior staff.
-
Assist in
pre-engineering studies, Class EAs and reports
-
Participate in the
preliminary and final design of municipal infrastructure projects
including:
o
Trunk
sewers and watermains
o
Pump
station force mains
o
Wastewater pump stations
o
CSO
facilities
o
Water
Booster stations
o
Water
and waste water treatment facilities
o
Roads
-
Provides office
support during the construction stage of projects including periodic
inspections

Help prepare AutoCAD
design drawings
Qualifications:
-
Graduate of a
university or college level Environmental Engineering or Civil program
-
A new graduate with
1-2 years experience and has a strong interest in municipal
infrastructure projects

Proficient with
Microsoft Office Suite
-
Exceptional
communication skills
-
Ability to work in
an interactive team atmosphere
-
Knowledge of AutoCAD
is an asset
-
Familiarity with
surveying, construction technology and related field skills
-
Experience in water
and wastewater pumping and treatment would be an asset
Candidates should be self-starters, able to work with minimal direction,
and work within a team environment.
