Transportation Engineer (Ottawa)

An immediate opportunity exists for an transportation engineer with experience in integrated road, water and sewer projects for municipalities. This is a progressive position, with the opportunity to become involved in the leadership and management of the firm's transportation engineering practice in Ottawa.

Job Description:

Responsible for all project stages from client relationship management, proposals and marketing, preparation of engineering studies and reports, preliminary and detailed designs, and administration of construction projects for a variety of transportation and municipal projects.

Qualifications:

• Civil engineering degree, eligible for membership in PEO.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of Canadian consulting engineering experience.
• Previous Project Management and Business Development experience is required.
• Preparation of designs for road reconstruction and widening, water mains, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, stormwater management facilities and grading.
• Preparation of specifications and tender documents.
• Contract administration and construction supervision.
• Excellent general computer skills.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microstation is an asset.
